ShowerGuard is a permanent coating that never needs to be replenished.  Eliminating the need for time-consuming maintenance involving corrosive or special after-care products, ShowerGuard preserves the look and beauty of newly installed glass for the life of your enclosure. Unprotected glass is susceptible to the damaging effects of aging and exposure to hard water, soap, organics and humidity.  Glass reacts chemically with these contaminants leading to spots, stains, scale and residue buildup.  ShowerGuard uses patented high-energy ion beam technology to create a thick, transparent coating that actually fuses to the glass surface, serving as a permanent protective seal.  The microscopic images at left illustrate the difference between unprotected and ShowerGuard protected glass after exposure to typical shower conditions.
